The SE MN Peacemakers' sponsored a trip to see Howard Zinn at St. Thomas University (summary).

His book, "A People's History of the United States!", was recently celebrated on Demcracy Now for having sold over 1,000,000 copies.

SE MN Alliance of Peacemakers supported efforts to educate people about Conceal & Carry.

Petitions and Other Information

Several SE MN Peacemakers went down to Omaha, NE for SOS 2003.

The SEMN Alliance of Peacemakers also helped promote the Rochester, MN Peace Lantern Ceremony.

THE IMPACTS OF US POLICY IN COLUMBIA

September 10, 2003

Two Columbian speakers visited Rochester and spoke at Assisi Heights at 7:00pm. Drawing on their personal experiences they talked about the impact of the war and U.S. POLICY ON CIVILIANS IN COLOMBIA, and citizen efforts to organize and overcome the many challenges they face.

There was an assembly at Lourdes High School at 2PM, a meeting at Gil Gutknecht's office at 3:45PM, and a pot luck at Assisi Heights at 5PM.
