Woman Against Military Madness (WAMM) 3rd Annual Walk Against Weapons Saturday, June 5, 2010

Won't you please join WAMM in the Walk Against Weapons?

WAMM's 3rd annual Walk Against Weapons is a fun and easy way to work for arms reduction.

We all know the world needs it--now you can take action to make it happen.

The highly visible walk goes for three miles, encircling Eden Prairie Center and ending at Alliant Techsystems.

Alliant Techsystems is Minnesota's largest supplier of Weapons of Mass destruction. As long as they are allowed to profit from the sale of landmines, nuclear missile rocket motors, cluster bombs and depleted uranium munitions, AlliantTech will continue to find new markets for them across the world.

Alliant Techsystems is a $4.8 billion dollar company, with 14,000 employees and operations in 23 states, and staffs over 60 international sales offices.

You can join WAMM by walking or by sponsoring a walker. Download a Sign -up sheet, and join us in this fundraiser and protest. You may have participated in similar walks for health issues, or to end hunger, they are good causes too, but nothing in the world is as devastating to human health and the environment, and contributes to widespread hunger more than modern military warfare.

The people of the world and the planet need you to take a stand, and we need it now! Please join us in WAMM's Walk Against Weapons, by being a participant or by being a sponsor. Since 1982, WAMM has maintained an articulate voice for weapons reduction. Help us continue our work!
